This and That

Hello my dear readers. I apologize for not posting in so long. As many of you know life gets hectic and the not so important things fall to the wayside while the big things are dealt with. I recently got back into mental health services for my Bipolar and Major Depressive Disorder. Back on my meds and some new ones I feel much better, however, I seem to have a shorter fuse on my temper. At my next appointment I plan to bring this up to the doctor so that we might fix the issue. I have been journaling a lot more lately and I find that it helps a great deal. I fully recommend keeping a journal or diary whether you have an illness or are in good health. It eases stress to be able to say everything without having to use a filter. Such freedom is rare these days.

Another thing I recommend is to listen to soft, relaxing music while reading a good book before bed. I find that it helps me to sleep better at night when I do this. As apposed to when I do not do these things. When I do not, I find I have trouble sleeping and toss and turn in my sleep. Another thing one can do to help them sleep better is a relaxing bubble bath, or to have a friend or partner give them a light massage. Or take time to write a letter to someone, a real letter not an email. Emails have become so impersonal and detached that many do not read most of what comes to their in-boxes. A way to be sure yours will be read if you do choose to do emails is to be sure your subject line gets to the point and doesn't sound like spam.

I recently acquired a kitten. She is very small for her age, looking about 8 weeks old when she is really about 4 months old. She is black and white with eyes that change from gold to green and back again. She is very playful and very smart. I call her Tiny because that is the only name she will answer to. All others she ignores. She has a healthy appetite which I encourage as to urge her body to grow more. I hope she does not stay so tiny forever but then again, a part of me hopes she does. Honestly, her size doesn't matter to me as long as she stays healthy. I will be getting her spayed if/when she reaches the minimum size requirements for surgery.

I can not really think of anything else to say today, so be well, readers.
